What I do

I build service lines and the organizations that deliver them.

At AudioEye, I was hired to define a document remediation offering the company didn't yet have. I wrote the accessibility standard it would run on, set the pricing and scope, and built the delivery machine: a two-tier network of independent contractors and production partner firms, a quality gate I personally held on every delivery, and a service-level commitment protected by scope discipline at intake.

My proving ground has been digital accessibility — WCAG 2.x, PDF/UA-1, Section 508, HHS standards, ADA — which means I've run operations where quality is contractual, auditable, and non-negotiable.

Case study: Document Remediation Services at AudioEye

$1.2Mpeak annual revenue
60+person delivery organization, built from zero
10 daysbusiness-day SLA on standard-scope work
12 monthspost-delivery accountability on every engagement

Founded as a one-person mandate in 2019, the Document Remediation Services line grew into a business serving enterprise and state-government clients on a reputation for delivery quality. Along the way: a workflow redesign that removed the management bottleneck between production and QA, a cost-base restructuring that cut both turnaround time and cost, and a single governing accessibility standard — consolidating PDF/UA-1, WCAG thresholds, and HHS requirements — that let remediation, QA, and client scoping all run from one document.

A full write-up of the operating model is in progress; in the meantime, the story is told best in conversation.

The pattern

The operating philosophy predates AudioEye. At Carroll/White Advertising in Atlanta, running delivery on a national student-housing portfolio, I split the work deliberately: strategic brand work in-house, routine production to a vetted freelance bench, in-house review as the quality gate on everything that came back. Standards authorship ran underneath it there too — brand guidelines, then developer handoff specifications, then an accessibility standard. Three documents, one move: consolidate scattered requirements into a single governing document that lets a delivery organization scale.
